Review Verification Policy
Definition of a verified review
A verified review is a review that GEO Index manually vetted. We review the submission and check the reviewer's business website, project website, publicly visible implementation, or other available evidence to determine whether the work described in the review appears to have been performed.
Verification confirms that GEO Index found reasonable evidence that a genuine business engagement and the described work existed. It does not mean that every revenue figure, traffic increase, ranking improvement, or other result was independently audited unless the review specifically states that supporting result evidence was examined.
Verification indicators
We display an indicator only when that specific step was completed:
- Submission reviewed
- Reviewer business checked
- Business relationship supported
- Work or implementation observed
- Project evidence reviewed
- Location verified
- Result evidence reviewed
A generic Verified Review label means the submission met the platform's review verification standard. It must not be interpreted as all seven indicators or as an audit of every result claim.
Public explanations
Verified Review: GEO Index manually reviewed this submission and checked available evidence, including the reviewer's business website, project website, visible implementation, or supporting project information, to determine that the described work appears to have been performed.
When results were not separately checked: Results reported by the reviewer.
When result evidence was checked: Supporting result evidence reviewed.
Privacy and evidence
Verification files, work email addresses, private reviewer names, moderator notes, and internal evidence are restricted moderation data. They are not published. Public pages show only permitted labels and completed verification indicators.
