Correction Policy
GEO Index distinguishes profile corrections from review disputes and ranking appeals. Correcting a factual error does not permit a company to select its ranking or ranking market.
What can be corrected
- Headquarters, official website, legal name, contact details, and profile attribution.
- Service, platform, or industry associations supported by current information.
- Broken links, transcription errors, and inaccurate editorial statements.
Ranking positions, qualifying-review decisions, and review disputes follow their own evidence and appeal procedures.
Review and recordkeeping
Submit the exact URL, disputed field, proposed correction, and a reliable source through the profile correction or site contact route. Material changes are reviewed before publication and administrative changes are audit logged. Ranking markets remain separate from headquarters and claimed service areas.
